In-house counsel with deep expertise in fintech, insurance, and financial services. I help companies build innovative products — from travel insurance to robo-advisors — while navigating complex regulatory landscapes with clarity and confidence.
About
Senior in-house counsel with deep experience in fintech, insurance, and financial services. I partner with business, product, and compliance teams to launch innovative financial products — from travel insurance and parametric offerings to robo-advisor platforms and asset management tools. I specialize in translating complex regulatory landscapes into clear, actionable guidance that drives growth while managing risk.
Background
I grew up intellectually restless — drawn equally to people, systems, and the rules that hold them together. That curiosity took me to Cornell, where I studied Industrial & Labor Relations before going on to Cornell Law School, where I served as Acquisitions Editor on the Journal of Law & Public Policy.
I began my legal career in litigation and M&A at Morgan Lewis and Skadden, advising boards and executives through some of the most complex transactions and regulatory challenges in financial services. A secondment to Credit Suisse in 2017 opened my eyes to the global intersection of technology, data privacy, and institutional finance.
From there I moved in-house — first to Prudential, where I helped shape a $6B robo-advisor platform, and then to Airbnb, where I built the legal infrastructure for one of the most innovative travel insurance programs in the industry. I'm licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Experience
Lead attorney for Airbnb's US travel insurance program. Spearheaded launch of 15+ SKU product variations enabling $140M+ in revenue. Developed legal framework for Host Earnings Protection, Airbnb's first paid parametric product. Advises on AI, cybersecurity, and emerging state financial regulations.
Trusted counsel to senior leaders across retail broker-dealer and asset management businesses. Coordinated launch of proprietary asset management portfolios and advised on Prudential's $6B hybrid robo-advisor platform. Oversaw a team of 50 on Department of Labor fiduciary rule implementation across four business lines.
Advised public and private companies, executives, and boards on M&A transactions. Seconded to Credit Suisse (2017) to advise on GDPR, APAC data protection, and QPAM exemption compliance for institutional asset management.
Practice focused on litigation and regulatory inquiries in financial services.
